It was sometime in the month of March 2023 when I suddenly had an intense fascination with the game.
I had somehow returned to my chess.com account and started playing again. I couldn't stop playing. Soon I was looking up other chess websites, and buying chess books.
I learned how to play chess when I was very young, but I never really had this kind of attention before. It was very weird to me that I had this kind of focus on chess, but I had no other choice but to continue playing.
I quickly saw from the chess YouTube community that there were tons of videos about how to play openings, middlegames, and endgames. There were tons of videos about gameplay strategy in general. But there was a huge gap when it came to content about how to study and how to learn.
So here's what to expect from this blog:
1: I don't claim to be an expert or a guru. I do claim that I will be an expert of sorts eventually however.
2: Most of the content on this blog will be about what I am doing to study and learn. I will not be focusing very much on chess playing technique.
3: I will be hoping to post content on Thursdays and Saturdays, but if I have nothing important or significant to say, then I will not post. I don't believe in posting just because I have to post for that day.
So let's get started. I look forward to making more posts soon.
